Job Description - Campaign Volunteers and Projects Manager

We have an exciting opportunity for a Campaign Volunteers and Projects Manager, to support the continued growth and stewardship of our Campaign volunteers in this next phase of For good, the Campaign for Sydney on a 3 day a week contract for 9 months starting in May 2026.

About the opportunity

We are looking for a new team member who will co-lead the continued growth and implementation of our University’s For good Campaign volunteer framework and its diverse suite of programming. The role is a parental leave cover (including a job-share period) and will focus on facilitating strategic and meaningful engagement with the Campaign’s volunteer leaders, stewarding their relationship with the University and enabling their advocacy and support for the Campaign’s fundraising and engagement goals.

About you

  • has experience in delivering best-practice strategies in volunteer management and advocacy programming, and can provide leadership and insights into emerging industry trends and best practice

  • can creatively develop and implement bespoke volunteer engagement plans in collaboration with the wider Advancement team

  • is an outstanding communicator, with sophisticated verbal and written communication skills, as well as the ability to work collaboratively with peers

  • has experience effectively working in partnership with diverse and complex stakeholders’ groups, including senior and influential leaders, to enable successful outcomes

  • has exceptional organisational and time-management skills, including the ability to prioritise and work within often very tight deadlines

  • is comfortable facilitating engagement of small groups

  • confidently engages with senior leaders and can influence with ease

  • is a true team player, able to collaborate with colleagues across the wider Portfolio

  • has experience working with boards and committees or volunteers

  • has demonstrated project management experience
