Your Role
We currently have an opportunity for a Cook to join one of our Communities at Work Early Education and Care services. We are seeking a Cook to prepare seasonal nutritious meals for children using rotational menus. Your duties will include preparing morning tea, lunch and afternoon tea for children aged 0-5 years. This position is from Monday to Friday only – no weekend or after hours work!

What We Need from You
Essential
- A Working with Vulnerable People (WWVP) registration
- Experience in a similar Childcare Cook role where possible or reasonable knowledge of Early Education and Care Centre’s operations.
- Experience in a food storage, preparation and delivery.
- Relevant completed Certificates in Nutrition/Safe Food Handling and Food Safety Supervisor certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Available to work 5 days per week.
- A love for children and a desire to make cooking in Early Education Centres a career.
- Good time management skills
- Ability to work successfully as part of a team.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Desirable
- Minimum Cert IV in Cookery
- First Aid certificate
