Job Description

Mercure Sydney Blacktown is seeking an energetic and enthusiastic Part Time Chef  to join our team of inspired hospitality professionals. You will be working the breakfast shift, preparing & serving food for the hotel buffet breakfast and food prep for our all-day dining menu and Distrikt Cafe.

What you will be doing:

Full ownership and operation of the kitchen including breakfast service.

Ensure the highest standards of food preparation, presentation, and quality are maintained.

Assist with ordering, inventory management, and maintaining optimal stock levels.

Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure the quality and timely delivery of ingredients.

Oversee, train and develop the kitchen team.

Qualifications

Trade qualifications or soon to be completed 

Preferably be experienced in buffet breakfast service/lunch service

Deliver consistent, high quality food while maintaining set food cost

Work in conjunction with service teams to ensure quality product and service to guests

Have great communication skills & a positive attitude

Have excellent planning and organisational skills

Have willingness to learn and go above and beyond for our guests
