Clinical Nurse – Anaesthetics

Clinical Nurse with Anaesthetics experience required to join our team at Caboolture Private Hospital!

Permanent Full-time or Part-time Opportunity!

About the role

As a Clinical Nurse, you will have the opportunity to be active in a leadership role, including the development and provision of evidence-based clinical nursing, while working and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team.

This role will require you to:

• Act as a professional resource and demonstrate broad knowledge in all facets of caring for patients
• Ensure the department is safe, effective and follows best practice
• Supervising and supporting staff within the unit
• Participate in Quality improvement Programs in line with organisational and departmental strategic plans

About you

Your ability to supervise, lead, direct and motivate staff to achieve outcomes, and your well-developed planning, prioritisation and time management skills are critical for this role. Further to this, you will demonstrate a good work ethic that includes punctuality, integrity, respect for others and a commitment to professional practice.

You will also demonstrate. 

Essential:

• Relevant registration with the Nursing & Midwifery Board of Australia
• A minimum of 4 years post registration experience, including 3 years’ experience in Anaesthetics Nursing
• Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment and independently as required.
• Understanding of scope of practice
• Ability to manage designated portfolio and display sound leadership skills.
• Preceptorship experience and a compassionate approach to mentoring student and novice nurses.
• Demonstrated knowledge/experience in accreditation processes, clinical indicators, and other quality projects.
• Excellent time management skills
• Computer literacy in Microsoft Office programs
• Post-graduate qualifications in Perioperative Nursing or Post-Anaesthetic Care or working towards.

Desirable:

• Completion of a Preceptorship Program
• Previous experience as a Clinical Nurse

The Hospital

Caboolture Private Hospital is a fully accredited surgical and medical hospital situated in the outer Northern reaches of Brisbane - at the southern end of the beautiful Sunshine Coast. Caboolture Private is a Preferred – Tier 1 Department of Veterans Affairs accredited hospital which allows Veterans to have immediate access to the facilities without, in most cases, the need for prior approval.

This hospital has 43 beds, 3 fully equipped operating theatres, a 12 chair Day Procedure Unit and a comfortable day oncology unit. The Hospital is collocated with Caboolture Public Hospital.
