The Metropolitan Palliative and Community Care Service (MPaCCS) is seeking an experienced and highly motivated palliative care Clinical Nurse to join our professional team. This fixed-term position, integral to the success of our consultancy model, is available until 30 June 2025, with the possibility of further employment pending ongoing funding of the outreach program.
About the role
Using a combination of impromptu and formal education, role modelling, and mentoring, you will promote best-practice nursing care for residents and their family carers. Additionally, you will help build the capacity of facilities to provide quality, holistic end-of-life and palliative care by supporting facility staff in learning and implementing relevant, evidence-based care techniques and methods. This position will be based in the North and North-Eastern suburbs, though all staff may be expected to work across the metropolitan area.

About Bethesda Health Care and MPaCCS
Bethesda Hospital is a private, not-for-profit hospital with a strong reputation for high-quality care and is one of Perth’s leading inpatient palliative care units.
Palliative care consultancy to the community is provided by MPaCCS, located in South Perth.
MPaCCS is a mobile specialist palliative care team that works collaboratively with General Practitioners and other health professionals to ensure superior outcomes for patients residing in residential aged care, mental health services, disability services and corrections. The service focuses on building the palliative care workforce through training, education, assistance, and mentoring, whereas no specialist palliative care consultation services are available.
Nursing and support staff are highly qualified, and the organisation is an occupational health and safety leader.
