About the role
The Clinical Trials Nurse has particular responsibilities for the implementation of the specific Unit’s clinical research protocols and drug trials and is accountable for own practice standards.
Duties include the coordination of trial subject recruitment, appointments and clinical follow-up, the collection of data, the collection of specimens, the collation of test results, and the immediate reporting of adverse events. Co-ordination and management of trial subjects/patients involves appointments, clinical preparation and implementation, answering telephone inquiries. PIVC accreditation is desirable or willing to undertake training to be accredited.
