Communications Assisant - Get Hired Fast - Part-Time

Dynamic and highly reputable charity organisation is seeking a passionate Communications Assistant to join their collaborative team.
  
Reporting into the Senior Communications Officer and working as part of the Media and Communications unit, this is a part-time entry level career opportunity.
  
This role supports the team to implement media and communications activity, underpinning their efforts to effectively communicate the organisations priorities and build the organisation’s public profile.
Key tasks include supporting with social media community management, communications measurement and reporting, and media admin tasks.
  
Key responsibilities will include:

• Provide support to the media team executing the earned media components of national campaigns and the always on media program, undertaking timely and accurate reporting of the press office and social media moderation.
• Support the team undertaking social media moderation by drafting responses to enquiries and messages.
• Analysing, measuring, and reporting on press office and earned media campaign performance, identifying key insights to boost quality and quantity of coverage.
• Ensuring accuracy in the development and maintenance of distribution lists.
• Coordinating internal communications activities – including collating internal news.
• Working across a broad range of tasks to support the wider team, prioritising the workload to ensure key deadlines are met.
• Providing general communications support to the broader team.

To be successful, you will have:

• Passion for public relations, media relations and communications.
• Currently undertaking tertiary study in communications or related field
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Excellent time and project management and organisational skills.
• Outstanding written and oral communication skills.
• Excellent judgement and interpersonal skills.
• Considered news sense and understanding of Australian media
• High computer literacy, including experience with word processing, spreadsheet, databased and presentation programs.

Essential to this role are excellent organizational skills, good attention to detail, a passion for communications (particularly media) and the ability to work as part of a team to deliver tasks on time.
