About This Role

This is a growth role and would suit a person looking for a part time role now, with the opportunity of full time work in the future. As the digital publication grows in the region, so too will the resources required, and this role will be perfectly placed to increase hours with the view to eventually being full time.

The role is initially part-time with a minimum commitment of 8hrs per week (over 4-5 days) required to ensure that our content channels are active and engaging.

Your goal will be to create industry-leading, engaging, and high performing content for our the Eurobadalla region's digital channels and drive awareness for The Fold brand and services within your region.

The role will be remunerated based on the set 8-10 hours per week + commission. Compensation above hourly rate is structured in a way that heavily rewards in-region revenue growth (through the sale of directory and event listings and content marketing plans to local businesses).

The right candidate will have a mix of knowledge and experience in content creation, social media, publishing, digital marketing, client services and business development. You’ll thrive on developing and maintaining customer relationships and will want to spend your days exploring the right ways to promote your wonderful region and the amazing local businesses in it.

The role is work from home, as well as the requirement to be out and about around your region capturing content, building awareness for the brand and developing business with clients. All reasonable business costs will be covered to support you in achieving this.

Content Creation

• Create engaging and well-performing social media content (copywriting, image selection and scheduling).
• Create and publish ad hoc Instagram & Facebook stories to promote your clients and the area, cultivating audience reach and engagement.
• As commercial opportunities evolve
  • Plan and execute strong and engaging campaigns for our clients, delivered across website, socials and email channels and striving to achieve client objectives.
  • Take photos and capture short videos at client venues to use as part of their campaign.

Audience Growth & Engagement

• Monitor and engage on our social media channels, ensuring The Fold is always responsive and true to our brand tone of voice and values.
• Live and breathe the metrics. The beauty of digital is we can see what’s happening every day, what content is performing, and what’s not. You monitor the numbers closely and you’re keen to learn from how things perform and continuously look at ways to drive growth and improvement. 
• Love social media. It’s important that you are fascinated by social media, passionate about understanding the latest trends and algorithms and excited to try new ideas to ensure The Fold’s social media channels retain their strong engagement rates and continue to grow and improve.

Business Development & Networking

• Represent The Fold and be comfortable networking within the business community (sometimes out of standard office hours).
• Be able to identify new client opportunities as part of your day-to-day operations.

Campaign Management

• Manage and coordinate the client content schedule (a mix of articles, social media, video, photography, email newsletter features and online media).
• Ensure all elements are briefed according to the campaign requirements and internal resources are organised.
• Work closely and cohesively with The Fold team.

• You are fascinated by social media and love creating content, and you’re great at it!
• You can take a great photo! If not, you’re interested and willing to learn.
• You understand the importance of tone of voice and brand.
• You’re experienced in client relationship management (possibly an ex. agency exec).
• You love your region. You know what’s what and where’s where. You have good community relationships and are keen to build on them.
• You have a keen interest in digital marketing and media.
• You have a commitment to lifelong learning and you’re hungry to continuously improve our client’s campaigns.
