Job Description - Conveyancing & Commercial Legal Assistant - Hiring Fast - Part-Time

We are in search of a motivated Conveyancing & Commercial Legal Assistant to join our innovative team at Beaumont Lawyers in Mooroolbark, Yarra Valley & High Country VIC.

We are a long standing law firm located in Mooroolbark looking for a Conveyancing / Commercial Legal Assistant to join our team on a part-time basis.  

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage a high volume of residential and commercial conveyancing files from start to finish.
  • Conduct thorough contract reviews and provide advice accordingly.
  • Conducting searches and applying for rates and planning certificates.
  • Preparing and managing subdivisions and off the plan Contracts of Sale.
  • Drafting correspondence, Special Conditions, Contracts of Sale and S32 Statements.
  • Communicate effectively with clients and other parties such as real estate agents, brokers, banks and developers.
  • Coordinate and conduct settlements via PEXA and Duties Online, including preparation of settlement documents.
  • Understanding of self-managed super fund transactions, trust transactions, nominations, availability of stamp duty exemptions/concessions, capital gains tax, GST withholding and foreign investment review board requirements.
  • Knowledge of commercial and retail leasing, including drafting and reviewing.
  • Maintain accurate files and databases.
  • Preparing invoices and accounts.
  • Perform other administrative tasks as required.

ABOUT YOU

  • Proven experience (3yrs+) as a Conveyancer, with a deep understanding of property law and conveyancing procedures.
  • High level of attention to detail.
  • Excellent time management and organisational skills.
  • Positive, proactive and flexible attitude.
  • Ability to work autonomously as well as effectively in a team.
  • Experience and knowledge of PEXA and Duties Online.
  • Experience with LEAP and Microsoft 365.
