Cook - Aged Care Ringwood - Part-Time

Della dale Aged Care is seeking a passionate and organised Aged Care Cook to join our supportive team on a part-time basis, with an immediate start!

Duties & responsibilities:

• Prepare and cook nutritious, balanced, and appetizing meals for consumers, considering dietary requirements and preferences.
• Ensure meals are prepared in a timely manner and presented attractively.
• Maintain high standards of food safety and hygiene in the kitchen, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and guidelines.
• Monitor and manage stock levels, ensuring timely ordering and proper storage of ingredients to minimize waste.
• Adhere to menu plans, portion controls, and presentation standards.
• Accommodate special dietary needs, including allergies and medical conditions.
• Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain appropriate documentation.

Experience & attributes:

• Previous experience as a Cook, preferably in an aged care or healthcare setting.
• Relevant culinary qualifications (e.g., Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or equivalent).
• Current COVID & Annual Flu Vaccination (Mandatory)
• Knowledge of food safety standards and regulations.
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• A genuine passion for working with elderly consumers and enhancing their quality of life.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and public holidays.
