WHAT WE CAN OFFER YOU 

• Part-Time Role - Your average, ordinary minimum hours will be no less than 30 hours per week.
• Probationary rate of $35.38 p/h for the first 6 months and $37.23 p/h thereafter
• Service payments after 3+ yrs starting at $1,651
• Penalties apply + overtime often available 
• Work-life balance | Mon-Fri between 7.30am-6pm 

ABOUT YOU 

Being a Court Security and Custodial Services Officer provides a great deal of variety and responsibility throughout several posts within the facility. You may be ensuring courtroom safety in a trial one day and then escorting persons in custody the next. 

Our paid training course is due to commence in July 2024 offering a part-time job opportunity to start, with the potential of full-time employment in the future. 

We are eager to hear from all candidates; Specific work experience is not required for this position and is therefore highly suitable for those in the customer service, retail and hospitality sectors.

ABOUT THE ROLE 

The core responsibilities of this role are to:  

• Assist with the management and movement of people in custody throughout the facility
• Assist in the control room and watch house
• Front of house reception and customer service
• Managing the screening process for the court
• Provide security during court sessions
• Conduct patrols in and around the facility 
• Reporting including incident reports, OHS & reports, risks and intel through to management

 The essential requirements from you: 

• Life Experience - applicants must display maturity in their actions and decisions and have displayed job retention and leadership in past roles
• Exceptional communication skills with the ability to build rapport with people from all different backgrounds
• Demonstrated conflict resolution and negotiation skills
• Experience in dealing with confidential, sensitive information
• Discipline & commitment to ongoing health, wellbeing and fitness
• Resilience - an ability to succeed under pressure without compromise 

To be successful in the role, you will need:

• Full availability to work between 7:30 AM - 6:00 PM Monday to Friday
• Be willing to undergo a pre-employment medical assessment
