MUGGA WARA ENDOSCOPY CENTRE - CSSD Aide/Technician (full time/part time)

Mugga Wara Endoscopy Centre was established in the ACT over 25 years ago as a private day hospital to accommodate privately funded and self-funded patients for a variety of gastroenterology procedures.

We have been in our current location for over 20 years and are very excited about expanding and moving into a new facility in Deakin. Our new facility will comprise of two well equipped procedure rooms, modern pass-through cleaning/reprocessing equipment and an expansive recovery area.

We are currently looking for staff to complement our already experienced work force. CSSD aide/technicians are required – any hours up to 72 hours/fortnight, casual positions may be available for the right candidate. 

Duties include cleaning, reprocessing and handling of endoscopes and associated equipment under the supervision of nursing staff. Other duties as required to assist nursing staff during the day.

We are very conscious of family commitments and hope to accommodate personal flexibility/hours. The centre is open 6.30am- 6pm Monday to Friday, some Saturday’s and closed on public holidays. 

Criteria:

• Minimum of 2 years' work experience in the health/hospitality industry
• Good understanding of infection prevention and control in a health facility
• Willing to learn new skills 
• Good problem solving and communication skills
• Ability to work in a small team under the supervision and direction of the nursing and management staff
• Flexible in work hours
• Australian resident, able to work in Australia without restrictions

Preferable/ desirable:

• Experience in endoscopy cleaning and reprocessing
• Cert III in sterilising services 
• Knowledge of gastroenterology/endoscopy 
• Worked in or currently working in similar role 
• Available at short notice
