Role description
The Grade 4 or above Instrument Technician performs a senior role in CSSD under the supervision and guidance of the operating suite unit manager. They are expected to carry out all the duties of the Grade 4 or above instrument technician (processing, autoclaving and distributing sterile supplies to all internal and external customers) with a high degree of autonomy and accountability. In addition, the Grade 4 or above instrument technician is required to actively assist in the supervision of staff including training, mentoring, performance management and orientation of new staff in the unit.
About you
The successful applicant will have
A certificate IV in Sterilisation services or equivalent,
Highly developed organisational skills
A minimum of 3 years as an instrument technician
