Customer Service Postal Officer -- Caroline Springs

Tasks & responsibilities:

• Seek to understand the needs of customers and foster an environment which promotes staff commitment to quality customer service
• Performing customer sales and service transactions including banking transactions via our Bank@Post service
• Handling and processing cash, cheques, credit cards and EFTPOS
• Conducting and processing a number of identity services transactions, including Australian Passport Interview – establishing an applicant's identity with a highest levels of accuracy and compliance
• Promoting our products and services through up-selling and cross-selling, merchandising and other promotional activities
• Building rewarding relationships with customers by understanding their needs
• Accepting mail items for lodgement, and accurately assessing any applicable charges
• Preparing outward mail for dispatching – including presentation and the cancelling of stamps
• Maintaining commitment to Australia Post’s Occupational Health and Safety standards

Qualifications & experience

• Previous experience in a Post Shop or banking industry is essential
• Work as part of a team to deliver the best possible service and solutions to our customers
• Be flexible for additional hours
• You can lift up to 16kg of mail and able to stand up for most of your shift
