Dental Receptionist - Part-Time - Start Now

We are currently looking for our next amazing team star to carry out front office duties and engage with patients in a warm and professional manner. 

The ideal applicant should have the following:

Skills and Qualifications:

• Minimum 2 years experience in a dental reception or treatment coordinator role using D4W software.
• Friendly, naturally compassionate and energetic personality.
• Strong work ethic with a positive “can do” attitude and a good sense of humour.
• Able to work as a team player and work within established policies, guidelines and procedures. 
• Minimum year 12 secondary education with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Good organizational, phone and computer skills.
• Good personal presentation.
• Experience in Infection Control and Sterilization.

Daily duties will include:

• Greeting patients and visitors in a friendly and professional manner.
• Scheduling and confirming patient appointments.
• Answering phone calls and responding to website and email enquiries.
• Processing cash, EFTPOS & HICAPS payments.
• Managing patient accounts.
• Processing insurance claims, AFTERPAY, Medicare and DVA claims.
• Maintaining patient records and filing paperwork.
• Co-ordinate laboratory work.
• Follow up with patients before, during and after treatment.
• Maintain a clean and organized reception area and patient common areas.
• Infection control and sterilization - on as needed basis. 
• Support the rest of the team when required.

The position is ideally suited to:

• A mature minded qualified dental nurse with Certificate 3 or 4.
• Current Dental Receptionist wanting to work part time only with flexibility to increase hours on an as needed basis.
• Current senior Front Desk Coordinator or Practice Manager intending to wind down their career but still wanting to continue dental receptioning without the stresses of senior administration and management responsibilities.

This position is part-time over three days with a June or early July 2024 start. There is also potential for full-time hours later in the year. Full training will be provided to the right candidate.
