Design and Technology Teacher - Permanent Part-time

Role Description:

The Technologies Department oversees subjects including Dimensional Design, Digital Photography, Engineering, Food Technology, and Digital Technology. The successful candidate will be qualified and have experience in teaching a combination of these subjects. An ability teach Middle School Visual Arts will be an advantage.

Status: Part-time | Commencing Term 1 2025 (Ongoing)

Salary rate: Teachers Step 5 to 13 (dependent on experience) / 2% above Depart of Education rates

Effective date:  1 January 2025 or later by negotiation

Essential Criteria:

• Hold relevant tertiary qualifications with experience in teaching Technologies subjects in a senior school.  
• Hold current Teacher Registration and a Working with Children card.
• Ability to obtain a Police Clearance.
• Have highly developed verbal and written communication skills.
• Demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills and organisational ability.
• Contribute positively to the collaborative culture of the College.
• Plan and deliver an engaging curriculum for students with an overarching focus on key conceptual ideas.
• Differentiate learning activities and lessons for the range of learners in each class.
• Comply with all aspects of the College’s Child Protection Program.
• Demonstrate effective classroom management that shows an understanding of the academic, social and emotional diversity within a classroom.
• Commitment to quality pastoral care and whole person development of students.
