About The Role

Hotondo Homes is seeking a passionate part time Draftsperson to join our team.  

The successful candidate will operate high-end software including ArchiCAD to produce documentation for our clients. This role demand strengths in problem solving, teamwork, critical thinking, creativity, and visualization to create accurate and detailed drawings.

Key focus for this role includes:

• Ability to produce highly detailed working drawings for high-end residential homes
• Ability to manage allocated projects from sketch stage through to construction stage
• Apply knowledge of design construction procedures, zoning and building codes
• Comprehensive product knowledge of building materials
• Produce custom designs to suit clients brief
• Have the ability and experience to thoroughly review and mark-up documentation for projects
• Read, understand and model from concept sketches, detailed plans and client briefs
• Coordinating with the team to convey concepts and colour schemes
• Liaising with clients to meet design brief and implement design changes
• Assist with design aspects of projects including: 
  • investigation,
  • evaluation and
  • recommendation of design solution

About the Candidate

The ideal candidates will have the following skills and attributes:

Formal Qualifications in Drafting (preferable) or extensive drafting experience will also be considered.

• Minimum 2 years’ experience using BIM Software - ArchiCAD preferred 
• Have a design background and passion for design
• Good knowledge of Nation Construction Codes & relevant Australian Standards
• Familiar with industry's best practices
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills and strong interpersonal skills
• Ability to work as part of a team & independently with minimal supervision
• Have a high attention to detail and well-developed problem-solving skills
• Ability to multi-task, work under pressure, manage time, prioritise and meet deadlines 
• A positive attitude
