About us:
Anne Sgro Children's Centre opened in 1985 and has an excellent reputation in the community as a provider of quality education and care. We are a not- for- profit, community long day care centre and funded Kindergarten. Operate Monday-Friday 7am-6pm, licensed for up to 82 children across four age-based rooms. We operate under a Committee of Management who value ASCC employees and provide us with perks throughout the year in addition to the below benefits. We are currently looking for highly motivated Educators to join our team either on part time or full-time permanent roles. These roles will report to the Room Leaders.
Benefits
Hours of Work:
Part Time Educators: Between 25.5hours - 35 hours per week (0.6fte or 0.8fte)
Full Time Educators: 76 hours per fortnight.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Hold ACECQA approved Diploma or cert III level qualification.
At least two years of experience working in the similar role.
Current Working with Children Check/ Working with vulnerable people check or equivalent.
National Police Clearance (no older than six months from commencement date) (Vic relevant).
A first aid qualification that is approved by ACECQA that includes first aid, emergency asthma management and anaphylaxis management
Child protection / Mandatory Reporting certification.
Food Handling certification.
A team player with positive attitude.
Be committed in providing a safe inclusive environment for all.
A person who takes work ethics seriously.
Candidate to have flexible availability during the week.
Ability to work with all aged children.
Good Knowledge of EYLF and NQS.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
A commitment to early childhood and child development.
Tasks & responsibilities:
Work collaboratively within a team to ensure the best outcomes for children and families
Collaboratively implement a high-quality education and care curriculum for all children
Build and maintain professional, inclusive and positive relationships with families, children and staff of the service
Work within the National Quality Framework, the Early Childhood Australia Code of Ethics, the Service philosophy, policies and procedures.
A willingness to be appointed as a Responsible Person
Ability to work effectively in a team environment
