Educational Leader **** Diploma Educators **** Bus Driver

  • Educational Leader
  • Room Leader
  • Bus Driver 7.30am to 9.30am & 2.30pm to 5pm
  • After School Educators
  • Lunch and Programming support float.

You will work with a team of dedicated educators to create a stimulating, positive and inclusive environment that reflects the Early Years Learning Framework whilst maintaining the elements of the National Quality Standards (NQS). Within a team environment you will work collaboratively alongside other Educators and will be responsible for observations, programming and for the evaluation of children's development to ultimately support their learning outcomes. You will also engage with and provide support to families.

Kids Patrol Idalia has a fantastic opportunity for an experienced and inspiring Educational Leader who will help us action our passion and vision for Early Years Education. 

At Kids Patrol Idalia, we strongly believe that the Environment is the third teacher. We want our Educators to inspire fun and joy through play-based interest-led learning.  

Most importantly you will play a significant role in ensuring Kids Patrol is providing a high-quality and inspiring education and care for our team, children and families.

This role will have duties such as:

  • Working with all staff to ensure a safe and stimulating learning environment for children.
  • Mentor, support, inspire and guide.
  • Ensure effective and collaborative working relationships with and between staff and families.
  • Role model best practices at all times
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant legislation and regulations and our policies and procedures.
  • Ensure service provision meets and exceeds the national quality framework and standards.
  • Set continuous improvement plans and support the service to achieve these.

Key Requirements:

  • Comprehensive working knowledge of the Education & Care Services National Regulations and relevant Law
  • The National Quality Framework and National Quality Standards
  • Extensive experience in Early Childhood Education
  • Experience in leadership and team development
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Computer literacy skills
  • Approved Early Childhood qualifications 
  • Current Working with Children Check 
  • Child Protection Training
  • First Aid, Anaphylaxis, CPR and Asthma certification.

Skills and experience

 The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate or be willing to work towards the following essential criteria with the support for your team: 
• Knowledge of child development for 0–5-year-old and current practices in    Early Childhood Education 
• Knowledge of relevant legislation, and the elements of the NQF
• Ability to develop partnerships with parents and families 
• Ability to develop warm and meaningful relationships with children 
• Committed to inclusive Early Childhood practices 
• Self-motivation and initiative 
• High level interpersonal, written and oral communication skills 
• Team player 
• First Aid, Asthma & Anaphylaxis certificate 
• Previous experience working in children's services 
• A Current Working with Children Check
