Animal Emergency Service is one of Australia’s leading emergency and critical care referral centres. We deliver world class emergency veterinary medicine and gold standard patient care. Our Hobart is always bustling with exciting cases and an energetic atmosphere. 

About the Role
As an emergency vet nurse, you will be involved in triage, hospital case management, surgery, critical nursing and critical case management. Experience exciting case diversity such as GDVs, impalements, hit by cars and in summer ticks, toads and snakes. Our nurses also have access to trained Mental Health First Aid Officers, our wellbeing hub and an Employee Assistance Program for support on a range of matters.

About You

  • Minimum of 1-year ECC experience or 3 years GP experience
  • Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing or Bachelor of Veterinary Technology or relevant experience
  • Thrives in a hands-on, fast-paced, and dynamic environment
  • Strong communication and team-work skills
  • Love of learning and continual improvement
  • Personal mode of transport (essential for shift work)
  • Flexibility to work a variety of shifts
