About Us

Redeemer is a co-educational Christian school owned and operated by the Lutheran Church of Australia, Queensland District. The College is situated in Rochedale on Brisbane's south side, about 20km from the CBD, about 55km from the Gold Coast, and is easily accessible by the Pacific Highway and the Gateway Motorway.

Redeemer Lutheran College is seeking to appoint an Events Co-ordinator to foster and promote effective, dynamic and long-term relationships between Redeemer Lutheran College and the wider community through the activities and events of the College. This is a term time position (40 weeks per year), 19 hours per week. Days and times to be negotiated with the Head of Admissions and Marketing.

Highly developed communication, organisational and ICT skills, a commitment to provide excellent service, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team are essential criteria for this role. In order to meet the dynamic requirements of this role, flexibility of working hours, including evenings and weekends may be necessary.

About the role:

  • Provide management and support for key events, therefore providing the main point of contact for the events;
  • Provide assistance to other staff through templates and planning tools in relation to, budgets, obtaining quotes, catering, logistics, risk management, communication with stakeholders and required documentation;
  • Working collaboratively and in partnership with others, both within and outside the College, in the execution and completion of duties and responsibilities;
  • Appropriately interact and liaise with staff, parents, volunteers, and students in relation to College events;
  • Liaison with key members of staff and College Leadership Teams will be necessary to determine the major events that are to take place in the calendar year;
  • Willingness to contribute to our diverse and inclusive community and accept the responsibility to uphold the Christian Ethos of the College.

To be successful in this role, applicants should have:

  • Relevant training and/or qualifications related to event management;
  • Graphic Design skills would be desirable;
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage with people at all levels of the College;
  • A high level of organisation and time management skills;
  • Ability to use initiative and problem solve;
  • Ability to work autonomously and work collaboratively as part of a team;
  • A high level of attention to detail;
  • Personal integrity and the ability to deal with sensitive matters with discretion and good judgement.
