Experienced Medical Receptionist - Part-Time

Working closely with our team on the day-to-day running of the front desk.

2-3 days a week with flexibility to cover sick leave and annual leave.  We are open Monday - Friday 9am-5pm.  Must be flexible to cover clinics at both Ringwood East and Knox Private Hospital

We are seeking a professional, well presented receptionist to support our team.  We are a busy clinic who currently has 4 Geriatricians, 1 Pain Specialist, 1 General Medical Consultant, Dietician, Bone Density Technician and Pathology.

Minimum 12 months experience in a medical reception setting is essential.  

As an ideal candidate, you will have proven experience working with doctors and patients in a healthcare setting, excellent organisational and administrative skills, firm knowledge of medical terminology, and confidence working in a fast-paced environment.  The right candidate will also have:

• GENTU experience preferred - not essential
• Excellent communication skills
• Confidence to work collaboratively and autonomously
• Front of house reception skills
• Excellent phone manner
• Compassionate person with the ability to deal with elderly patients
• Friendly manner to meet and greet our patients
• Make patient appointments
• Manage waiting lists
• Prepare and receipt patient accounts
• Ability to prepare outgoing correspondence by mail/fax/email
