Food Prep For Mitchelton Centre - Dynamic Team - Part-Time

Adeona is seeking someone to prepare, heat and serve pre-manufactured food in our quality early childhood centre (no experience necessary).  

Adeona Mitchelton is a modern, high-quality centre that has been providing food for the last 8 years.  We are seeking a dedicated person to manage the heating and distribution of food within the centre.  The food is delivered to the centre daily, pre-prepared, and has to be heated and served following food safety guidelines.   

All applicants for the position will need to have completed or be willing to complete an accredited food safety course and a Queensland Working with Children Check.  Successful applicants will work alongside our experienced Educators already established within the centre. 

The objective of this position is to work well within the team that already exists at Adeona, to create quality, happy and safe environments for the children and the families who attend our service.

Currently, the expected hours of work will be between 9:30am-12:30pm Monday- Friday, totalling 15 hours of work a week. However, if you hold an applicable Early Childhood Education qualification, you may also work lunch covers if you wish for an additional 10 hours per week.

Some of the duties and responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to, the following;

Implementing a food safety program in the centre

Preparation of food, including heating, chopping fruit and serving.

Positive role modelling and behaviour guidance 

Engaging in reflective discussions  and positive change

General cleaning duties

Ability to use initiative

Ensuring the safety of children at all times
