Food Retail Assistants - Immediate Start - Part-Time

Pasta Al Dente Foods is a foodie haven located in Tullamarine. We are looking for enthusiastic and friendly faces as Food Sales Assistants, that love dealing with people. Part time and casual positions available.

Daily tasks and responsibilities:

• Customer service
• Answering phone in a professional manner
• Friendly towards others 
• Able to take and process orders
• Processing sales
• Making coffee and tea
• Handling cash and credit card payments
• Serving customers
• Handling food items when customers request such as bread, cakes, sandwiches, pizzas etc
• Deli 
• Stocking Shelves
• Preparing and packing orders for customers
• Putting stock away, dry, refrigerated and frozen stock
• Follow HACCP procedures
• Safe work place practices
• Maintain a clean working area

The successful candidate must possess:

• Experience is not required for this position
• Dedication, reliability, commitment and a strong work ethic
• Quick learner with strong initiative
• Good attention to detail
• Be well presented
• Must be enthusiastic about what they do
• Ability to follow instructions and work in a team environment
• Ability to work in a fast paced environment
• Must have intermediate computer skills
• Food Handling Certificate or Food Safety Certificate highly advantageous
• Deli experience highly advantageous
• Barista experience highly advantageous

Multiple positions available. Please include your availability in your cover letter. Our shop hours are Monday to Friday 6am to 5pm, Saturday 6am to 4pm and Sunday 6am to 2pm.
