General Services Officer (GSO) - Cleaner/Laundry - Fast Hire - Part-Time

New Auckland Place is seeking a new team member to provide a high standard of quality care and services to aged care residents. The successful candidate will provided and maintain a high standard of cleaning and laundry services within the home.

• Part time or casual role available

Duties Include:

• Cleaning in an Aged Care home including resident rooms and ensuites, public areas, toilets and dining rooms etc.
• Sweeping, vacuuming and mopping.
• Participation in the home's infection control program.
• Cleaning of external areas. 
• Safe and correct use of cleaning products.
• Maintaining availability of stock levels. 
• Responsible for the laundering of Resident's linen and personal clothing.
• Maintains records of completion of cleaning schedule duties

What you will bring to the role:

• Excellent communication skills - proficient in reading, writing and speaking English.
• An ability to demonstrate a high standard of cleanliness.
• An ability to demonstrate empathy with aged residents.
• An ability to work without close supervision and in a safe manner.
• Excellent Team player who is dedicated and highly motivated.
• Knowledge of Work Health and Safety.
• Safe use of chemicals.
• Previous cleaning and/or laundry experience highly regarded.
• Ability to work shifts between 6am and 14:00 Monday to Sunday including public holidays.
