Job Description - Grade 2 Nuclear Medicine Technologist - fixed term part time

Job Description:

  • 8 hours per week in a fixed term position until 31/12/2027


About the Role

You will be working as a Grade 2 Nuclear Medicine Technologist at SVHM, across general Nuclear Medicine and PET/CT, as required. We are committed to providing training and education and offer regular continuing professional development for staff.

  • Under the direction of the senior Nuclear Medicine Technologists, you will provide quality general Nuclear Medicine and PET/CT examinations in a safe environment.

  • Excellent technical and clinical skills in the full range of general Nuclear Medicine and PET/CT procedures

  • Experience in the preparation, handling and administration of radiopharmaceuticals.

  • Ability to interact with patients and other staff.

  • Awareness of all aspects of radiation safety as they pertain to the practices of Nuclear Medicine and PET/CT

Classifications for this position will range from CJ7 – CT7

Your Contribution

  • Bachelor of Applied Science / Medical Radiations in Nuclear Medicine or equivalent.

  • Current Medical Radiation Practitioner registration with AHPRA to practice as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist.

  • Radiation use licence issued by the Victorian Department of Health.

  • Experience sufficient to permit eligibility for accreditation by the Australian and New Zealand Society of Nuclear Medicine (ANZSNM).

  • Current National criminal history check or willingness to obtain.

The Nuclear Medicine and PET departments at St Vincents Hospital Melbourne offer a full range of both diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, and are equipped with state of the art SPECT/CT cameras, and a PET/CT scanner.
