Guest Services Agent

The iconic Playford Hotel MGallery Collection brings together an eclectic mix of iconic South Australian experiences in one space and, in a sense, a taste of all that is on offer in the ‘quality of life’ capital.

The hotel was named after Sir Thomas Playford, South Australia’s longest serving premier and is built on the site of the original News Limited building. 

The News was a daily tabloid Adelaide newspaper which was inherited by Rupert Murdoch in 1952, and which is now referred to as the ‘foundation stone’ of News Limited and News Corporation, one of Australia's largest media companies. Rupert Murdoch’s first board meeting for News Corporation was in fact held in the space on the first floor above the new Luma Restaurant and Bar. 

The Playford was built in 1998 and recently underwent a multi-million dollar refurbishment.   

Are you ready to take your career to a whole new level? If so, we have a fabulous opportunity for you to do just that.  We're recruiting a guest obsessed Front Office GSA to join our fast paced and dynamic front office team.

The Role:

  • Exceptional customer service experience, preferably 1+ years working within a hotel front office
  • Competent computer user (experience with Opera Cloud PMS ideal).
  • Availability to work varied shifts from early mornings, late evenings and overnight, including weekends and public holidays.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

What You'll be doing:

  • Provide exceptional customer service by responding to guest requests promptly, efficiently and courteously during check-in, check-out and for the duration of our guest’s stay.
  • Ensure accuracy of guest accounts on departure
  • Promote and up-sell hotel facilities through strong product knowledge.
  • Maintain a high level of professionalism, maintaining procedures in relation to credit and cash transactions and accounting documentation.
  • Assist guests with luggage and other concierge duties as required.
