headspace is the National Youth Mental Health Foundation, with Each as a leading agency since 2006. We provide early intervention mental health services to 12-25-year-olds across Australia, offering support through over 145 communities, online and phone counselling, vocational services, and schools.

Each is proud to lead headspace Lilydale, a safe and welcoming space where young people aged 12–25 can access free mental health support. We’re now on the lookout for a passionate Intake & Brief Intervention Clinician to help young people feel heard, empowered, and supported at a critical point in their journey.

Your role. Your impact.

As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you’ll be responsible for conducting intake assessments, risk assessments, brief therapy sessions, and group facilitation. Whether it’s a single session or a short intervention plan, your support will help young people and families find their next best step forward.

Reporting to the Team Leader, you’ll:

• Deliver Brief Intervention and Single Session Therapy within a culturally safe, family-inclusive framework
• Conduct intake and risk assessments, develop care plans, and refer as appropriate
• Engage with young people, families, and carers to co-design care
• Contribute to school and community engagement activities
• Develop and facilitate group programs based on service and client needs
• Participate in reflective supervision, training, and team development

Who we’re looking for

You’re a flexible, youth-focused professional with:

• Tertiary qualifications in Counselling, Psychology, Social Work, Occupational Therapy, or social sciences
• Experience working with adolescents and understanding of developmental stages
• Strong therapeutic skills in brief, early intervention modalities
• Ability to build rapport with young people from diverse backgrounds
• A current Working with Children Check and state-based driver’s licence
