Assistant Insurance Broker (Part Time / Flexible Hours / Work from Home)

  • Small general insurance brokerage based in Bendigo
  • SME, Farm and Personal lines of business 
  • Salary negotiable on experience and skill level
  • Part time role (expecting 18-24 hours per week)
  • Potential to move to longer hours in the future

 

About Us

An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced Assistant Insurance Broker to join our small but growing insurance broking business based in Bendigo.

Affiliated with Steadfast, we have been operating for ten years and continue to grow at a strong rate.

We are highly focused on customer service which is demonstrated in long term client relationships.

 

About the Role

The role would suit a motivated and dedicated person wanting to work in a flexible arrangement. With the guidance, direction and support of the company director you will be helping with the management and growth of the brokerage.

Your tasks will include:

  • Quoting or new business and renewals
  • Processing new policies, renewals and endorsements 
  • Liaising with clients, insurers and underwriters to put policies in place
  • Coordinate and ensure timely responses to client and insurers enquiries
  • Assisting with claims as required
  • Other general broking duties associated with the role

 

Experience and Qualities we are looking for 

  • ASIC146 Tier 2 mandatory, Tier 1 preferred 
  • Minimum of two years of recent experience in a broking office
  • Winbeat, Sunrise and SCTP proficiency 
  • Self-motivated with ability to work autonomously 
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Customer focused with high level of attention to detail
