Inventory Assistant - Career Growth Potential - Part-Time

We are currently accepting applications for a part-time Inventory Assistant to work onsite in our Caringbah head office within our Shimano Australia Fishing team.

Reporting to the Inventory & Purchasing Manager, the primary objectives of this role include but are not limited to:

• Setting up of purchase orders and ensuring that purchase orders are correctly maintained whilst in Pronto ERP
• Data entry Shipment invoices into Pronto 
• Liaise directly with freight forwarder & customs broker to ensure DIFOT import shipments
• Keep track of all incoming shipments and allocating associated charges
• Maintaining Inventory records and items stored within the warehouse (includes warehouse product data collection includingallocation of barcodes, accurate interpretation, compilation, and entering data into the computer system).
• Register new products in system and maintain constant update of product data
• Processing Supplier Invoicing including checking of freight costs for shipments
• Month end invoice processing
• Assist spares department in managing pronto data, purchase orders and incoming shipments

The successful candidate will have:

• Previous experience in freight forwarding, warehouse operations or logistics 
• Excellent written and verbal communications
• High level computer literacy and confident using Microsoft Excel, with a minimum typing speed of 30wpm
• Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to meet deadlines
• Confident in data analysis and interpretation
• Proficient in collaborating cross-functionally to deliver analytical outcomes 
• Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and collaborate effectively within a busy team 
• Prior knowledge of Pronto ERP (highly regarded)
