Jewellery CAD Designer

The studio engineers fine jewellery in precious metals and stones, creating pieces that are clean, balanced, and sculptural. Working with precision, The CAD Designer will collaborate directly with the founder to ensure the aesthetic and technical integrity of the design development process, oversee the production of jewellery collections, and manage all design deliverables for made-to-order pieces.

Proficiency in CAD software, knowledge of gemstones, a high level of organization, and meticulous attention to detail are essential for this role.

Key Accountabilities:

• Translating design concepts into CADs.
• Managing prototyping and file creation, as well as file archiving and library building.
• Determining and maintaining the scope of tolerances, materials, stone grade, scale, and sizing as it relates to design and production.
• Providing technical and functional input to enhance design elements and ensure longevity.
• Managing existing CAD workflows and communications to ensure accurate and clear project status and delivery.
• Manage and maintain the identification, organization, and communication of CAD files and product digital design documents.
• Ad hoc design related tasks as required.

Required Qualifications:

• Minimum 3 years of CAD, preferably in the jewellery industry.
• Proficient in current CAD technology and staying up to date with latest development techniques.
• Skilled in Adobe Creative Suite.
• Diligent, with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
• A clear communicator good at filtering information, clarifying details, and offering solutions.
