Junior Accounts Receivable Officer (Hotel) - With Great Benefits - Part-Time

The Company

Oakwood Worldwide is a global brand and has owned and operated hotels and apartments internationally for over 20 years. Set within a 40-storey tower, Oakwood Premier Melbourne showcases a collection of 392 hotel rooms and serviced apartments, a restaurant, bar and function spaces.

Your Role 

You will be joining our passionate and supportive Finance team as a proactive and detailed oriented Junior Accounts Receivable Officer on a permanent part time basis, with opportunity to be involved in other facets of hotel financials and purchasing. Reporting to the Director of Finance, some of your key roles and responsibilities will include, but will not be limited to; 

• Manage end to end accounts payable duties and tasks
• Weekly accounts and Debtor reporting
• Timely collection of debtors within the Company’s trading terms
• Monitor potential bad debts and action accordingly to minimise loss of revenue
• Investigate, and resolve escalated customer debtor variances promptly
• Manage key customer account reconciliations
• Phone contact with all Customers of unpaid accounts by phone or e-mail by the due date for payment, to ensure collection of accounts in a timely manner and to build customer rapport
• Ensure all accounts related requests are attended to promptly
• General administrative duties as required including filing, scanning, and database maintenance
• All other credit controller and accounts receivable responsibilities and duties as required from time to time

About You

• Have a genuine passion for finance, people and processes
• Accounting knowledge in AP, AR is preferred but not essential 
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills 
• Positive can-do attitude is a MUST
