The RoleWe are currently seeking a Laboratory Technician to join our client in Bomaderry. As a Laboratory Technician, you will play a crucial role to ensuring the quality and safety of the water systems.
This is
a casual part-time position, working 3 days per week on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays from 8 am to 4 pm.
Responsibilities:
- Collect water samples from cooling towers and boilers on a regular basis.
- Perform various laboratory tests and analyses on the collected samples.
- Conduct pH, ORP, FAH, and Chlorine Dioxide Strength Tests on-site, reporting any out-of-specification results to the Account Manager and Technical Team.
- Interpret and evaluate test results to identify any abnormalities or potential issues.
- Prepare detailed reports summarising the analysis findings.
- Maintain accurate records of all laboratory activities and results.
- Adhere to strict safety protocols and guidelines while working in the laboratory.
The Candidate - A background in science, chemistry, or a related field is essential.
- Experience in laboratory testing will be an advantage.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to work meticulously in a laboratory setting.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for preparing reports and effectively communicating findings.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Valid Driver's License
