About us
"Queensland Group of Specialists (QGOS)" is a platform for medical, surgical specialists and allied health professionals for their Virtual practice management and Sessional suites. To accomodate the growing number of specialists, we would like to welcome another staff to join our team as Medical Receptionist/Medical Administrator/Practice Manager.
As a successful candidate you will have:
- Previous experience as Medical receptionist/Medical Administrator or Practice Manager
- Knowledge and experience to use a practice management software (experience with "Clinic to cloud" will be highly regarded, Gentu, Xestro)
- Understanding of complex medical terminology (preferred)
- Have strong competency with Microsoft Word and Excel
- Have excellent written & oral communication skills and strong customer focus
- Be able to work in a small team environment and autonomously if required
- Strong time management and organisational skills.
- Understanding of Medicare and private health insurance billing processing and procedures. i.e ECLIPSE
Tasks & Responsibilities
General reception, administrative duties and patient interaction
- Be responsible for receiving and responding to phone and email enquiries.
- Internal communications and correspondence with patients, doctors, theatre bookings, GPs and third parties.
- Patient record management Organising clinic and theatre bookings
- Patient billings using practice management software
- Office organisation
- All general front desk reception, secretarial and administration support to the surgeon/specialists as required.

- Have a vigilant attitude to accuracy, being prepared to double check as necessary.
- Ability to work cooperatively and independently.
- Demonstrated commitment to ongoing professional development.
