Membership Sales Consultant - Competitive Pay - Part-Time

About the role

We are looking for a membership consultant, who is passionate about improving the lives of others through health and fitness. We are seeking an enthusiastic, dynamic lady who has strong sales experience to join our already incredible team. 

The role involves speaking to prospects over the phone with the goal of booking them in to visit the club, taking prospective members for a tour of our facilities and from there, recommending health and fitness solutions. 

The successful candidate will be an important member of our team and the first step in creating a great Fernwood member experience.

You must have a solid understanding of sales and customer care excellence ensuring everyone has a memorable experience when they meet you. Your resume will show previous proven sales experience and capacity to consistently meet the business's KPI's.  

In order to be successful in this role, you will need to:

• be able to work at least two evening shifts per week and a 3 to 4 hour shift on alternate Saturday mornings. Having a flexible schedule and being able to cover shifts at short notice, would be advantageous 
• genuinely care about the health and wellbeing of our members
• have outstanding face to face and telephone sales skills
• be able to meet individual and club targets
• be driven, energetic, positive, outgoing and have a can-do attitude
• have a passion for sales and the initiative to make things happen!

This is a permanent part time position and would require a minimum of 3 shifts a week - including at least two evening shifts, plus 4 hours on alternate Saturdays. 

Skills and experience

The successful applicant will ideally:

• possess a minimum of 12 months proven face to face sales experience (preferably within the health and fitness industry)
• a track record of exceeding targets
• Can drive enquiries in to the local area and convert leads to meet targets
• have outstanding communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to build strong relationships quickly
• have outstanding time management skills
• have the ability to multi-task in a busy, fast-paced environment
• be a people-person and genuinely care about an individuals health and well-being
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• A sense of humour and a desire to have fun while you work
• A genuine interest in excellent customer service
• Flexibility and ability to work during the week, evenings/weekends as required by the business.
• Dynamic and creative sales skills; able to identify sales and marketing opportunities.
• Enthusiasm for lead generation, proven resilience, and a consistent positive attitude
• Organisation skills, dedication, and high intrinsic motivation
• You are a charismatic, happy person with a ‘Can Do Attitude’ that loves to learn and take initiative. You are a proven sales professional that will work closely with the Management team to reach our sales and business goals.
• You will be part of the team having fun, responsible for promoting Fernwood Carindale, making sales, and achieving budgets and targets, as well as creating an experience that will have prospects and members wanting more. 
• You enjoy taking part in marketing activities and be involved in the social media promotions of planning and strategies to increase sales as well as promote the benefits that are associated with a healthy lifestyle.
