About the opportunity
This is an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful difference in your local community. The Mental Health and Wellbeing Hub provides accessible, community-based support for people experiencing psychological distress, mental ill health or life stressors such as financial pressure, housing instability or social isolation.
As a Wellbeing Support Worker, you’ll walk alongside participants to support their mental health recovery and wellbeing. You’ll take a strengths-based approach by building trusting relationships, developing practical life skills, supporting connection with community and helping people access the services and supports that matter most to them.
You’ll work collaboratively with participants, their natural supports, and other community and health providers to ensure that everyone receives the right support, at the right time, in the way that works best for them. Your work will contribute to a system of care that values respect, inclusion and self-direction.
About you
You’re someone who believes in the power of recovery and community connection. You bring empathy, patience and curiosity to your work, and you genuinely enjoy supporting people to live the lives they choose for themselves. Above all, you understand that everyone’s journey is unique and deserves to be met with respect and hope.
