The Role   

Join our esteemed educational institution as we seek a qualified classroom teacher to fill a specialist role in teaching Music for Years 7 and 8. This is a dynamic part-time opportunity, fixed term starting Term 3 until the end of the year at our Wheelers Hill Campus. 

The ideal candidate will showcase a profound passion for captivating and stimulating students while adeptly incorporating innovative learning technologies. We seek an individual of high energy, forward-thinking mindset, and aspirational teaching practices to join our dedicated Music team, working collaboratively to achieve team goals.  

Key Duties 

• Review and assess students at the beginning of each program to provide a flexible program that caters for individual students 
• Deliver learning programs that demonstrate a research-based knowledge of how students learn and integrate Formative Assessment Techniques    
• Evaluate personal teaching and learning programs including feedback from students and assessment data to inform planning  
• Design and deliver conceptually driven, student-centered learning activities  
• Model high expectations to enable a safe and supportive classroom culture  
• Provide reports within school standards and timelines 
• Model and live the Caulfield Grammar School values and behaviours 

Skills and Experience  

• Have experience teaching middle years students   
• Connect positively with students and show genuine care for their learning.  
• Demonstrate commitment to professional development  
• Working knowledge of the IB philosophy and approach to teaching is advantageous 
• Hold a Teaching Qualification alongside exceptional knowledge and experience in Music 
• Hold a current VIT Registration 
• Skill and experience in Music Technology with applications such as Garageband and would be an advantage
