A leading kitchen manufacturer known for their innovation and people-first culture are seeking a Part-Time Junior / Assistant Accountant to join their finance team for maternity cover (with the potential to become permanent). Reporting directly to the Finance Manager (with a dotted line to the CFO), you'll gain hands-on experience across all areas of accounting, including Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, and general accounts. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone early in their career who wants to build a strong foundation in finance while working in a dynamic, supportive environment.
Your new role

• Accounts Receivable (AR): Assist with invoicing, payment tracking, and customer account reconciliations
• Accounts Payable (AP): Process supplier invoices, manage payment runs, and maintain vendor records
• Support month-end processes, journal entries, and account reconciliations.
• Maintain accurate financial records and ensure compliance with company policies
• Collaborate with the finance team to support reporting and analysis needs

What you'll need to succeed

• Experience as an Assistant Accounting, with strong AR & AP experience.
• A strong attention to detail with excellent organisational skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and SAP are ideal.
• A proactive mindset with a willingness to learn
