Part-time Library Officer

We currently have 2 part-time (0.6 FTE) Library Officer roles available at Geelong Library.

Band 3,  $62,713 - $66,702 (pro-rata), plus 11.5% superannuation

About the role:
As a Library Officer, you'll contribute to delivering excellent library services, connecting with the community, and helping us create a welcoming, engaging, and inspiring space for everyone.

This is a part-time role (0.6 FTE), and the working hours are 84 hours over a four-week cycle. This will include Saturday/Sunday shifts and occasion evenings.

Key activities that you'll be doing:

• Deliver exceptional customer service to a diverse community, ensuring every visitor feels valued.


• Supporting the delivery of our programs such as Early Literacy programs, Conversation Café and more.
  


• Keep the library organized and vibrant—manage collections, arrange materials, and create eye-catching displays.


• Share your love for books by recommending fantastic reads and helping others explore our library’s collection.


• Be a key voice in developing library policies, initiatives, and procedures to continually enhance the user experience.


• Collaborate with a passionate team to ensure the library runs smoothly and fosters a positive, welcoming atmosphere.
