Part-Time Sales Assistant

About the Role:

Ipswich Salvos Stores are seeking a fashion-focused Sales Assistant to support the Store Manager with day-to-day operations and help deliver an inspiring in-store experience for our customers and community.

This is a permanent part-time role (23 hours per week) based in Ipswich, QLD and is suited to someone who enjoys fashion, has an eye for presentation, and takes pride in how a store looks and feels.

You Will Assist With:

• Retail sales and operation of Point-of-Sale systems.

• Collecting, sorting and pricing donations, with a strong eye for quality garments and on-trend pieces.

• Visual merchandising, including window displays, outfit styling and maintaining appealing store presentation.

• Identifying current fashion trends and presenting stock in a way that maximises impact and sales.

• Delivering exceptional customer service and styling advice.

• Displaying stock in correct departments, following policy and procedure.

• Maintaining a safe working environment in line with WHS requirements.

• Demonstrating The Salvation Army’s core values in all work-related activities.

About You:

• A strong interest in fashion, styling and visual merchandising, with the ability to recognise quality garments and current trends.

• Experience in retail sales is highly regarded but not essential

• A creative eye for window dressing and store presentation.

• Passionate about delivering excellent customer service in a dynamic retail environment.

• High-energy, hands-on team player with strong communication and interpersonal skills.

• Flexible to work a rolling roster including weekends and across various locations within the retail area.
