Multiple Full time, Part-time, Casual, and weekend Pathology Collections positions (permanent and fixed term) available across Metropolitan Perth

Clinical Labs WA has been serving the local community for over 80 years and provides diagnostic services to a number of hospitals and specialists as well as general practitioners. We have six medical laboratories, over 150 collection centres and a team of more than 700 who are committed to partnering with our referrers to provide accurate and timely results and high quality, patient centred care.

About the role

These full time, part time or casual positions (including weekends) will suit self-motivated individuals who can demonstrate attention to detail, along with excellent communication skills and a strong focus on outstanding customer service.

Your key responsibilities will be:

• Collection of blood and other samples from patients.
• Attending to the care, storage and processing of pathology specimens.
• Ability to work alone and participate in weekend and rotating roster as well as out of hour's roster in any of our collection centres.
• Attend to paperwork and associated clerical duties to ensure all details are correct in a timely manner.

To be considered you must possess:

• Certificate III or IV in Pathology Collection or relevant industry experience
• A valid Driver's License (For Domiciliary and Relief Staff)
• Good computer skills, exceptional customer service skills and telephone manner
• Exceptional time management skills
• Sound clinical knowledge
• Ability to communicate effectively with the collections team referring Doctors, patients and other stakeholders
• Ability to understand and ensure compliance with WH&S policies and guidelines to maintain a safe & healthy workplace

All appointments are subject to proof of eligibility to work in Australia, National Police Clearance (less than 3 months old) and immunisation to Hep B, influenza, pertussis and measles/mumps/rubella if in hospital or domiciliary roles.  As a healthcare provider, Clinical Labs requires all new employees working in hospital settings to be fully vaccinated against COV-19. If successful, we will ask for proof of immunisation accordingly for our records.
