About Kiind
Kiind is a family-led, independent peer support organisation with almost 40 years of operation. We support 6,400+ Western Australian families raising children living with disability, developmental delay, autism, genetic, rare, undiagnosed and/or chronic conditions.
Based at Perth Children’s Hospital (PCH), our experienced Peer Navigation team have extensive knowledge of the health, disability and education systems and help families to find the answers they’re looking for to best support the needs of their child. We have a range of information resources to help with this and we also connect families to one another.
Through active systemic advocacy, we help decision makers to understand the experience of children with disability and their families. We seek to influence policy, legislation, and service design.
Our vision is to create an inclusive society, where all children and families can reach their full potential. Through our three pillars of support, we help families to Connect, Learn and Be heard.
All our services are provided free-of-charge.
About the role
Kiind is seeking a Peer Navigator to join our vibrant, up-beat team, located in Nedlands. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for families with children who may be inpatients, outpatients visiting PCH for clinical appointments, as well as nursing staff and other health professionals with whom we work to provide holistic care to families.
This role is 0.8 FTE (4 days per week) and will be offered on a contract until 30 June 2025.
