Who we are looking for?
Bakers Maison is now seeking a People and Culture Manager on a permanent part - time basis
(4 days per week/ Monday to Thursday) to lead their People and Culture department. This senior management role is a member of Bakers Maison leadership team and will be responsible for the organizational people and culture strategy formation and implementation.
The People and Culture Manager will work closely with senior management to develop and implement HR strategies that align with the company's goals and objectives.
Reporting directly to the Managing Director, this role's duties will include, but not limited to:
• Develop, implement and monitor systems, policies and procedures ensuring legislative requirements are being met
• Plan, design and implement organizational annual CSR activities, employee incentives and employee engagement activities
• Provide sound and timely advice to managers and all the employees on HR/IR related matters
• Manage complex work place issues such as grievance handling and disciplinary issues in accordance with BM policies and relevant legislations by conducting investigations and implementing disciplinary procedures
• Manages end to end recruitment process (Drafting and posting job ads, screening, conducting interviews and selecting candidates)
• Manage work related injuries and worker’s compensation claims
• Owns the administration of HRIS system – Employment Hero
• Planning and designing learning and development strategies
• Prepare and implement annual HR plan and budget and monitor against plan and budget
• Preparing monthly reports on HR Metrix
Qualifications we are looking for:
• 3 - 5 years HR generalist experience with some experience in HR leadership role
• Degree qualification
• Sound understanding and practical knowledge of labour laws
• Experience in Food Manufacturing or exposure to Food & Tobacco Manufacturing Award and /or award interpretation
• Professional membership in AHRI is an added advantage
• Empathy
• Strong Leadership skills
• Exceptional communication skills
• Ability to influence stakeholders
