About the role

Pulse is seeking a highly organised Project Manager with excellent communication skills and a positive attitude to join our small dynamic team.  Reporting to the Managing Director, this new role is responsible for managing various types of small-medium property development projects concurrently.  Responsibilities include managing the design, planning, approvals, various consultants, build tender and construction.  There is also a requirement to prepare and track project plans and budgets for each project. 

 

Being part of a small dynamic team allows opportunities to be involved in other areas of the business as required. 

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Create Project Plans and Reports and manage key deliverables.
  • Assist with compiling market & feasibility research and information.
  • Assist with the design development phase including Design Brief preparation, concept development and consultant engagement.
  • Attend regular project site meetings with the Project Coordinator and manage the outcomes, responsibilities, action items.
  • Main point of contact for consultants and builders during project delivery and coordinate requests and workflows pre and during construction.
  • Assist with coordinating build tender processes, reviews & interviews.
  • Prepare and update/track project budgets.
  • Build contract, variation management and dispute resolution.
  • Organize and attend meetings and events as required.
  • Assist with industry research planning and government changes.
  • Work closely with the Project Coordinator and Managing Director.
  • Roles requires 22 hours per week (some hours can be from home)

 

About you

  • Excellent organisational skills, ability to manage multiple projects/tasks, attention to detail and positive attitude.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with an ability to communicate across a number of areas and with a range of people.
  • Flexibility and willingness to perform a variety of roles and responsibilities.
  • The ability to work autonomously and be a team player.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite of products (Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • Own a vehicle, some car travel required.
  • Previous experience in Project Management essential, min 2 years.
  • Previous experience in the housing, construction or disability housing industries desirable but not essential.
