Are you passionate about ensuring quality and compliance within disability support services? We're seeking a motivated Quality & Compliance Coordinator to join our team. 

 

About the Role:

The Quality & Compliance Coordinator will support and provide input to the quality management system functions in the context of the National Disability Insurance Scheme’s (NDIS) Quality and Safety Framework.

 

Key responsibilities of the role:

  • Promoting a culture of excellence and continuous improvement in compliance and risk management.
  • Developing and implementing quality assurance plans, including hazard analyses and risk management practices.
  • Undertaking internal audits to promote and verify compliance, and to facilitate continuous improvement. 
  • Developing tools and resources for external audits and compliance assessments.
  • Reviewing audit findings and implementing corrective actions to drive improvement.
  • Identifying operational and compliance risks, providing recommendations for mitigation.
  • Driving incident investigation processes and implement corrective actions as necessary.
  • Collaborating with the wider ECS team on quality and risk initiatives.
  • Monitoring quality and compliance systems and practices to ensure adherence to standards.
  • Identifying and addressing gaps in policies and procedures for continuous improvement.
  • Advocating for risk control and prevention strategies in daily management practices.
  • Providing support and coordination for all aspects of quality and compliance management.
  • Collaborating with the People & Culture Coordinator on improvement projects.
  • Maintaining professional development and meet reporting Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
  • Maintaining an up-to-date understanding of the relevant statutory and regulatory operating requirements, monitoring regulatory changes and provide recommendations for consideration. 
  • -Develop and maintain necessary compliance documents, including risk assessments and emergency plans.

 

Essential Selection Criteria:

  • Education in a relevant field (e.g., Social Work, Disability Studies, Law, Compliance).
  • Comprehensive understanding of quality and risk management principles.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge of NDIS Code of Conduct, Practice Standards, and Disability Service Standards.
  • Ability to work autonomously and collaborate effectively with stakeholders.


Desirable Skills:

  • Experience with Microsoft Suite & Adobe.
  • Previous experience in a compliance role.
  • Understanding of legislation and regulatory environment for disability support services.
  • Familiarity with restrictive practices (RP’s) and continuous quality improvement.
