Your Position at St John of God Berwick Hospital
You will be an integral member of a nursing team to provide optimal patient care for all patients at St John of God Berwick, their families and significant others. This care will be provided in collaboration with all members of the health care team including medical practitioners and allied health practitioners.
This care will be guided by a working knowledge of hospital policies including O H & S, Infection Control, Waste management and Quality Improvement.
The Position
Embrace a competency driven practise utilising nationally recognised competencies to support care delivery i.e. ANCI.
Develop a nursing care plan for patients following an assessment of their condition and needs including risk assessment
Involve patients and where practicable, their families or significant others in the planning of their care.
Ensure that all documentation relating to Patient Care and Clinical Pathways is maintained in an accurate and compliant manner
Participate in professional activities relating to and updating clinical skills including attending in-service and further education opportunities
Ongoing involvement in professional organisations and special interest groups.
You will have a registration with Nursing & Midwifery Board of Australia (AHPRA) as a Registered Nurse and will have a good understanding of legislation and standards related to OH&S, Compliance issues, Workcover.
To succeed you will have an ability to work effectively and harmoniously within the multi-disciplinary health care team, with analytical and teamwork skills.
