About the role
The Registered Nurse is responsible for providing safe, effective and appropriate patient care in a patient-focused environment.
Working permanent part time over a 7 day rotating roster, the Registered Nurse provides excellence in health care standards, practices in accordance with legal requirements and the philosophy, objectives, policies and procedures of Calvary North Adelaide Hospital. As a Registered Nurse, you will actively participate in all aspects of Oncology, Medical and Palliative care services.
Key Responsibilities
- Using a patient centred approach to patient assessment
- Maintaining high quality care for each patient
- Evaluating outcomes of care and initiating appropriate follow-up
- Develop patient care pathways which consider priorities, time frames actions and outcomes.
- Evaluating and altering the patient care pathways in relation to changing patient needs in consultation with the Clinical Manager/Clinical Nurse/ Multi Disciplinary team.
What you bring
- AHPRA Registration
- Demonstrated clinical experience in oncology nursing
- Completion of ADAC certification
- Ability to work unsupervised, proficiently and in an organised manner during periods of high demand and activity
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively as a member of a multidisciplinary team
- Demonstrated communication, interpersonal skills and customer service skills
- Demonstrated knowledge of the requirements of the National Standards for Safety and Quality in Healthcare, relevant legislations, policies and procedures
- A desire to join a team committed to the care of others in a mission based organisation
