Registered Nurse - Endoscopy - Start Now - Part-Time

MUGGA WARA ENDOSCOPY CENTRE - Registered and Enrolled Nurses (full time/part time)

Mugga Wara Endoscopy Centre was established in the ACT over 25 years ago as a private day hospital to accommodate privately funded and self-funded patients for a variety of gastroenterology procedures.

We have been in our current location for over 20 years and are very excited about expanding and moving into a new facility in Deakin. Our new facility will comprise of two well equipped procedure rooms, modern pass-through cleaning/reprocessing equipment and an expansive recovery area.

We are currently looking for staff to complement our already experienced work force. Registered/Enrolled nurses are required – up to 72 hours/fortnight, casual positions may be available for the right candidate. 

You must be able to work in all areas of nursing within the centre - admissions/discharge/acute post procedure care/procedure room/assist with endoscopic procedures/cleaning and reprocessing of endoscopes. 

We are very conscious of family commitments and hope to accommodate personal flexibility/hours. The centre is open 6.30am- 6pm Monday to Friday, some Saturday’s and closed on public holidays. 

 Criteria:

• Current AHPRA nursing registration
• Minimum 2 years of general/procedural nursing experience
• Good clinical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work in a small team as well as autonomously
• Good communication skills
• Knowledge of Australian Commission on Safety and Quality in Healthcare Standards (ACSQHC)
• Australian resident/able to work in Australia without restrictions 
• Flexible, friendly and team focused

Preferred Experience: 

• Endoscopy procedure and reprocessing 
• PACU and/or post-procedure care
