How you will make an impact

We are seeking experienced and motivated Registered Nurses to join our Oncology and Haematology Unit on a permanent part-time basis.

Our 20-bed Medical Oncology Ward cares for elective and emergency patients with a broad range of oncological conditions — from chemotherapy administration to complex medical and palliative care. You will work alongside specialist-trained medical oncologists and haematologists in a collaborative and supportive environment.

In this role, you will use your acute care experience while further developing your oncology expertise, delivering high-quality, patient-centred care aligned with Cabrini’s Mission and Values.

Key responsibilities:

  • Deliver direct patient care, including medication administration and patient monitoring

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments and prioritise patient care needs

  • Participate in ongoing formal and informal education

  • Communicate effectively with patients, families and the multidisciplinary team

  • Contribute to a safe, collaborative and supportive ward environment

About you

Along with Nursing qualifications and current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse, you will require the following attributes:

  • Minimum 2 years' experience in Oncology/Haematology (Essential)

  • Commitment to quality patient care and outcomes

  • Excellent customer service focus and communication skills

  • Excellent patient assessment, prioritization, and time management skills

  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team environment

  • Ability to handle sensitive issues effectively

  • Victorian Working with Children Check
