Job Description - Registered Nurse -Scrub Scout

Gold Coast Private Hospital are seeking skilled and dedicated Registered Nurses - Scrub Scout to join our team for the evening shift. 

This role involves providing high-quality care in our general, emergency, or orthopaedic operating rooms.

The ideal candidate will be experienced, detail-oriented, and capable of working efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Established in 2016 Gold Coast Private Hospital is a 339 bed, 22 operating theatre facility located in Southport, the heart of the Gold Coast Precinct.

Specialities include; 24/7 Emergency Care Centre, Medical, Orthopaedic, Bariatric, Neurosurgical, Plastics, ENT & General Surgical, Obstetrics, Cardiac Care and Oncology. Key Responsibilities:

·       Prepare and maintain the operating room for surgery, ensuring all necessary equipment and supplies are sterile and ready for use.

·       Assist the surgical team by scrubbing in, passing instruments, and anticipating the needs of the surgeon.

·       Monitor and manage the sterile field to ensure patient safety and prevent infection.

·       Collaborate with the surgical team to provide optimal care during general, emergency, and orthopaedic trauma surgeries.

·       Maintain accurate and timely documentation of procedures and patient information.

·       Adhere to hospital policies, procedures, and safety protocols.

Key Requirements;

·       Post grad study in Perioperative Nursing

·       Previous experience as a Scrub Scout, preferably in general, emergency, and orthopaedic trauma surgeries.

·       Strong knowledge of surgical instruments and procedures.

·       Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

·       Ability to work efficiently under pressure and adapt to changing situations.

·       Commitment to maintaining a sterile and safe environment.
